Enter your email address or mobile number on the Get Started page. We'll send you a 6-digit OTP — verify it, fill in your name, date of birth, and gender, and your account is ready. No passwords needed.

Yes. We use industry-standard encryption and a privacy-first URL design — profile links use usernames, not internal database IDs — so your family's personal data stays protected.

Go to the Family Tree page, click the dropdown on any member card, and choose Add Member. Select the relation (Father, Mother, Son, Daughter, Brother, Sister, or Spouse), fill in their details, and save. They appear in the tree immediately.

Only the person who added the member, or the member themselves (if they have an account), can edit their details. This keeps profiles accurate and prevents unauthorised changes.

When you add marriage details for a spouse, the anniversary date syncs to both partners automatically. Email reminders are sent once per couple — never duplicated — so neither partner gets two separate reminder emails.

Every morning, the platform sends you a personalised email for any birthdays, marriage anniversaries, death anniversaries, or custom life events happening today in your family tree.

Yes. Every member of your family tree gets a private chat thread in the Messages section. You can send formatted messages using markdown (bold, italic, etc.) and even send pre-filled birthday or anniversary wishes directly from the Today's Events page.

Roots Archive sends automatic messages to your inbox from a pinned "Roots Archive" contact whenever something important happens — such as a new family member being added, a birthday greeting, or an anniversary wish.

Today's Events shows every birthday, marriage anniversary, death anniversary, and custom event happening in your family today. Happy occasions include celebratory confetti, and each event has a Wish button to send a message instantly.

Yes. Go to your Profile page and update your username at any time. Usernames must be unique, can contain letters, numbers, and underscores, and are limited to 20 characters. Your profile URL uses your username, keeping your account ID private.

Each member's profile supports a photo, bio, blood group, hometown, date of birth, gender, highest qualification, profession, health history, marriage details (date, place, type, divorce status), life events, and passed-away information.
